Magni Giuseppe - also known as Magni Peppino "Pep" - was an Italian pro-team mechanic. In the 1970s he started a business as bicycle manufacturer. His frames where mainly built by the expert hands of Giovanni - "Vanni" - Losa. The frame builder from Vittuone - a small city close to Milan - manufactured exquisite bicycles, probably most famously the Cinelli Supercorsa from the 1990s to 2008.Like any other frame built by Losa, this Pep Magni illustrates refined triangular cutouts on the lugs and underneath the bottom bracket with a "V" shape to symbolise his nickname 'Vanni'. Pep Magni engravings complete the visual branding. As for the tubes, this frame is made of professional level Columbus SLX tubes with helical inner reinforcements. These have been connected by Cinelli lugs, including the famous Cinelli "spoiler" bottom bracket shell.
It is fascinating, how this elegant frame unfolds more and more interesting details, showing sheer framebuilding quality. The fork dropouts are lugged. The brake cable is routed internally with neat intakes. The shifting cable is routed "aero" across the chain stay and we could go on.
Great frame in original condition, painted by the famous Dossena Carlo.
