F. Moser S.L. Classic Road Bicycle 1980s

Among the small number great champions who set up a bicycle production whilst still riding races is Francesco Moser, the 'Sheriff'.
In his professional years, Moser, one of the most winning riders ever, equipped his team with bikes that were labelled with his own name. Almost all of those team bikes were built by Ugo de Rosa.
Later, around 1977 De Rosa helped to transform the small workshop of Francesco Moser’s brother Aldo Moser into a high end frame manufacture. In the late 1970s the Family Moser started manufacturing professional road bikes in Trento, northern Italy. When Francesco broke the world hour record in 1984, the cycling line was named 51.151 after the number of meters that were covered in this attempt.
Our F. Moser S.L. Classic Road Bicycle stems from 1980s and it's core - the frame - has been placed quite high in the compyny#s offer hierarchy. It is in fact the Superleggera (S.L.) model made of Columbus SL tubes and microfusion casted lugs. It is indeed very well made and some details like the pantographed fork crown and the beautifuly profiled chain stays (with rhombic cross sections) testify, that this is a high-end frame.
It is equipped with a complete Gipiemme groupset which runs like a clockwork. 3ttt cockpit, Ambrosio rims, Benotto bartape and Selle Royal CX saddle then seal the deal.
This attractive F. Moser in sky blue color is a great choice for classic cycling events which works well and pleases the eyes at the same time.
