Established in 1923 Motobécane was one of the most famous French manufacturer of bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, and other small vehicles. "Motobécane" is a compound of "moto", slang for motorcycle; "bécane" is slang for "bike." They became more known to an international public by their sponsoring of professional teams and winning the Tour de France with their typical orange machines. This sturdy and reliable Motobecane Grand Sprint stems from the beginning of the 1980s and it is in original condition. The frame is made of 2040 steel tubes connected the classic way using lugs. As for the equipment, you will find a blend of reliable parts form Simplex, Sachs, Nervar, Maillard or Weinmann. Thoroughly checked by our mechanics, the bike is ready to be ridden. Either to take part in Eroica events, to hit the daily bike path or to cycle to the next café, this Motobecane is a reliable choice. Without renouncing a vintage style!
