Giovanni Pelizzoli – nicknamed "Ciöcc", which in the dialect from Bergamo means spike or nail – is well known worldwide thanks to his Ciöcc bikes, which he manufactured from 1969 to 1980. Monuments like the San Cristobal and Mockba left his workshop in northern Italy and soon became widely esteemed for a particular attention to details and meticulous craftsmanship. As a frame designer he was responsible for Olympic podium bikes and successful pro team machines.

This frame has been repainted and received an orange paintjob, just like the winning bike of Claudio Corti, when he triumphed atthe UCI Amateur World Road Race Championships in San Christobal in 1977. And who knows, this bike could well be the very winning frame...
