|Over a time of about 40 years, between the 1920s and 1960s, Henry and Frank Carpenter were successful bicycle manufacturers.
They concentrated their efforts on the cutting edge lightweight bicycle and their creations were some of the finest racing and and light touring bikes, Great Britain had to offer.
So we are happy to be able to sell one of these nice frames to you.
Our Carpenter frame from the 1950s has been built, using Reynolds 531 tubing and Nervex Professional lugs - about the finest material you could use. The dropouts are strong, too and have nothing in common with the flimsy parts you can find on many other bikes of this time.
Fine details like the wrap-around seat stays and the elegant rear brake bridge show the attention to detail which was significant for the Carpenter brand.
The frame has been attired with a new black suit in recent times and looks quite elegant.
