There is no point introducing Bianchi, the oldest bike manufacturer still in business. The bikes with the eagle of the Royal house of Savoy on the head tube are one of the most saught after amongst vintage bicycle collectors. And the very top or interesting models are especially praised.
And this is one of them. It is the Bianchi Record 915 Modificata Gipiemme from the 1980 and it is a nice one. The steel tubes are connected with simple clean lugs and it looks really classic.
But there are few interesting details on this frame which deserve to be mentioned. The seat stays are flattened similar to the Columbus Air ones and the caps on them are engraved and chromed. Another details is that all the drop outs are made by Bianchi.
And finaly there is the Gipiemme modification. This frame has been specially made for Gipiemme parts, as the front derailleur attachment show. It is compatible with a direct mounted Simplex or Gipiemme derailleurs from that era (see the specifications).
Beautiful and fully refurbished Bianchi celeste frame set - a great base for you classic road bicycle.
